Everyone already cried their tears. Said their good-bye’s. Faced their fears.
Lazarus was lying in his tomb. Wrapped up in cloth. Lifeless.
Mary and Martha were discouraged. All hope was lost. Their brother was gone, for good.
They had called on Jesus. And He came. But He came too late.
Too late to heal Lazarus. Too late to bring them joy. Too late to make a difference.
The truth is… Jesus came right on time.
He came right on time to perform one of the greatest miracles of the Bible.
He came right on time to show Mary and Martha that He cared.
He came right on time to show everyone that hope may be found even in the most hopeless of situations.
He came right on time to prove one more time… that there was nothing too big for Him to handle.
Even though it seemed like He came too late… He really came right on time.
I don’t know if there is something you are waiting for at this moment. Praying for. Hoping for.
Maybe it seems like God has forgotten you.
Maybe it seems like He doesn’t really care.
You prayed for God to show up yesterday. But He didn’t show up yesterday. Or today. And you don’t know if He will even show up tomorrow.
I just want to remind you today once again: God doesn’t work according to our timing. He doesn’t operate according to our schedule or plans. His ways are so much greater than our own.
He may not show up for you today. He might not show up for you tomorrow. He might not even show up for you next month.
But He will show up when the timing is right for His perfect will in your life. Never too early. Never too late.
One thing you can be certain of today: He loves you. He cares about you. He has not forgotten you… just like He did not forget about Lazarus that day. And He will show up for you…right on time. –Anna…
