They will judge you without getting to know you.
They will reject you because you don’t fit in.
They will speak against you when you can’t hear.
They will hurt you with their words and deeds.
They will scoff at you and look down upon you.
They will betray behind your back you when you can’t see.
They will walk right past you like you’re not even there.
They will make you feel like you aren’t worth a minute of their time.
Sometimes these people are our neighbors, our family, or our closest friends.
People we love, look up to, and respect.
And when they hurt us the pain cuts deep.
Their words sting.
Their neglect brings us down to our knees.
And their rejection seems unreal.
But I have good news for you.
When you feel alone.
When you feel neglected.
When you feel forgotten.
When you feel unworthy.
Remember that there is One who has never forgotten you.
One who has your name written on the palm of His hands.
There is One that thinks you are worthy of life, of forgiveness, of love, of a promising new day.
There is One who is never too busy to hear what you have to say.
There is One who will never reject you.
One who will never leave your side.
One who will never overlook you.
Not a single tear you cry, not a single prayer you pray, not a single word you say.
He is the Best Friend that will walk with you forever.
The Father who will provide for your every single need.
The Savior who will wash your sins and shame away.
The Shepherd who will guide you every step of the way.
The Warrior that will help you fight your battles.
The King who will remind you of whose child you are today.
Today…forget the people that hurt you.
That overlook you.
That betray you.
And instead remember the One who never will.
Rest in His peace.
Stand on His promises.
Focus on His love for you.
And let the pain others have caused you fade away.
Be blessed!– Anna… ♥
