  1. “In using all means, seek God alone. In and through every outward thing, look only to the power of His Spirit, and the merits of His Son. Beware you do not get stuck in the work itself; if you do, it is all lost labour. Nothing short of God can satisfy your soul. Therefore, fix on Him in all, through all, and above all.”
    ― John Wesley

  2. Anna, love, love, love these! You have my pastor (Jentezen Franklin) and Mark Rutland who subs for him when he’s out of town… and then you have A.R. Bernard AND John Piper, my 2 favorite people in the world. How I LOVED these quotes! This one is a keeper. Piper’s quote was VERY piercing. That one will stay with me possibly forever.

    • Yes, Piper’s quote really made me stop and think (and check my priorities). I never knew Jentezen Franklin was your pastor (lucky!!). I podcast his sermons every week. I love how passionate he gets when he’s preaching! 🙂

      • Absolutely! We attend Free Chapel, Gainesville (GA). So yes, Jentezen is my pastor. I’m so glad to hear that you listen to him. I love him so much. Something about his heart…. We do feel so (lucky:) to have him as our pastor. Where do you go to church?

        • I go to City On A Hill (it’s a Slavic church in my area). And I love my pastor too. He has such a great servant’s heart (which seems somewhat rare these days). It’s definitely a blessing to be plugged into the family of God, you in yours and me in mine. Someday we shall all unite together in heaven! Can’t wait for that day!
