“I can’t do this on my own”

WHEN LIFE IS TOO HARD TO HANDLE, LIFE HARDSHIPSFor some odd reason when people become Christian they think they are signing up for some kind of special club. One where God is the owner and He provides each person with benefits of a life filled with abundant riches and joy.

What they don’t realize is that they are actually signing up for war.

The day you declare that Christ is your Lord and Savior and that you will live your life to glorify Him is the day you are putting a big red target on your back.

It’s the day that whether you like it or not, you must put on not fancy clothes but battle gear.

Because there is an enemy out there who has set out to destroy you.

To make you feel helpless and alone.

To steal your hope and your joy.

To distract you from the real meaning of life.

To drag you down to your lowest of lows.

See… when you become a follower Christ you don’t get an immunity card from hardships in life, in fact what you get is quite the opposite.

What you get is a guarantee that life will not be a walk through the park.

It’ll be more like a rollercoaster ride.

With valleys and mountaintops.

With twists and turns and stops.

With nights of tears and days of joy.

Peter tells us in 1 Peter 4:12 that we shouldn’t be surprised when we go through suffering and hardships and temptations.

That’s not strange.

In fact, it’s quite normal.

Because each day that we wake up we are standing on enemy ground.

Because there is a spiritual battle for your soul.

Every negative thought, every tragedy, every failure, every disappointment, every temptation is one more bullet that the enemy is aiming at you.

He doesn’t take a day off, and neither can you.

But the good news is that you already have the tools you need to win every battle.

You already have the gear to fight off every bullet the enemy sends your way.

You have God’s Word as your sword and not only that, but you have God Himself by your side.

The enemy will tell you that you will never win.

That there is no shelter from the storm.

That there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

That there is no freedom from your addiction.

That there is no hope for you future.

That it’s too much for you to handle alone.

And the truth is… it is too much for you to handle it alone.

Alone you are vulnerable.

Alone you are weak.

Alone you are powerless to stand strong during the trials and tribulations of life.

But what you need to remind yourself and him is that you are never alone.

That you are linked arms with a Savior who cannot be defeated.

That you have a protector who will help you dodge every bullet that comes your way.

That you have a rock to lean on and give you strength each new day.

That you have a redeemer that will carry you through every valley, every desert, and every storm.

And with Him you will always be victorious.

With Him you will be able to handle every single hardships, every single letdown, every single heartbreak, every single diagnose, every single season, and every single twist and turn you face.

Today… you might not feel strong.

You might not feel like you can face one more day.

You might not feel like you can find peace and hope again.

But I want to remind you that you will and you can.

That your God is greater than your enemy.

Than your biggest giant.

Than your strongest addiction.

Than your worst fear.

He is on your side, ready to help you fight your every battle in this war.

He will never leave you to fend for yourself.

Never forget that when you have Jesus… you always have hope.

He will be your peace in the midst of war and He will help you defeat the enemy of this world.

Be blessed and keep on fighting the good fight of faith! Anna…♥

    • Yes it does. It’s so important to keep our eyes focused on Him at all times then it won’t matter what circumstances are going around us because we know that the One who goes before us will help us make it through. Have a blessed day Daniel!
